Landscaping a property or a particular piece of land is never a quick and instant process even if it comes to a professional landscape designer. The thing is there are certain factors that can prevent the project from getting finished. Factors like budgets and plant material that require a huge time span of few years to mature while filling in the spaces according to the vision that is there in the mind especially individuals like me.
As a reader, I have read the works of numerous writers and books just takes one to a certain level of understanding things from a different perspective. Well, don’t fret if you find me loosing the track here, if you find me bringing book and art in between when this is about garden landscaping ideas. Let me just tell you what I mean here. It so happened that when I decided to revamp my backyard garden space, I wanted the place to display a wonderful cover of exuberant colors. I envisioned a garden space that features full-blown flowers (emanating invigorating smell), canopy (to enjoy rains and cool breeze), garden swing (to read my favourite book), bird bath (to enjoy colloquial birds chirping), and a bistro patio set (to enjoy evening tea with friends and family). This is the kind of peaceful retreat that my inner self aspires to experience in this lifetime.
So, this was the landscape idea that was there in my mind for the past many years and interestingly its conception has got an apparent story to its credit. Actually, I once read the book “Concerning the Spiritual in Art” written by Wassily Kandinsky. It may have gone past my memory lane, but there was a phrase in it that stayed with me even today. It says, "Color directly influences the soul. Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the hammers, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another purposively, to cause vibrations in the soul."
Well, I believe most of the artist would reckon with the wonderful idea that this great thought generates or present. And this idea pretty much defined the kind of landscaping design that I just shared with you. Last but not the least; fortunately I was able to find a professional landscape designer who transformed my vision into reality.
